The Opportunity
Moonee Valley City Council currently has an exciting opportunity available for a highly experienced and proactive grants and advocacy professional to join the team.
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Advocacy, you will be responsible for identifying and applying for external funding opportunities for grants and sponsorships across the organisation. You will support an established advocacy program and monitor policy and political matters across all tiers of government. In this fast paced role, you will be required to proactively liaise with diverse stakeholders, ranging from internal staff to external senior members of Parliament.
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in a similar role and possess highly developed analytical skills in policy research, including the ability to take a strategic perspective on matters at a federal, state and local government level.
You will be motivated, driven and a highly skilled in developing advocacy campaign messages, profiles and marketing collateral. You will be an excellent communicator with combined ability to leverage with external stakeholders, the executive, CEO, Mayor and Councillors. Your strong stakeholder management with your extensive networks will allow you to forge strong relationships to influence, negotiate and gain support of Council’s advocacy priorities and campaigns.
This position is a full time position, however we would welcome alternative arrangements and are open to considering requests for flexibility. Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
